General

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal data protection regulations (Data Protection Act, DPA), every person has the right to privacy and protection against the misuse of their personal data. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with legal data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we strive to protect databases as effectively as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or falsification.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., communication by email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.

By using this website, you agree to the collection, processing, and use of data as described below. This website can generally be visited without registration. Data such as accessed pages or names of accessed files, date, and time may be stored on the server for statistical purposes without being directly linked to your person.

Processing of Personal Data

Personal data includes all information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person whose personal data is processed. Processing encompasses any handling of personal data, regardless of the methods and procedures used, including, in particular, the storage, transfer, acquisition, deletion, retention, modification, destruction, and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Insofar as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is applicable, we also process personal data based on the following legal grounds in connection with Article 6 (1) GDPR:
a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
b) Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract with the data subject as well as for carrying out corresponding pre-contractual measures.
c) Processing of personal data for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject under applicable EU law or the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is fully or partially applicable.
d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
f) Processing of personal data to safeguard the legitimate interests of ourselves or third parties, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh these interests. Legitimate interests particularly include our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims, and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or purposes. For longer-term retention obligations due to legal and other requirements to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Cookies

These are small text files that allow specific, user-related information to be stored on the user’s device while the user is using the website. Cookies particularly enable the determination of usage frequency and the number of users visiting the pages, the analysis of usage patterns, as well as the enhancement of our service’s user-friendliness. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when the site is visited again. If you do not wish this, you should configure your web browser to refuse the acceptance of cookies.

A general objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes can be registered for a multitude of services, especially for tracking, via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. In addition, the storage of cookies can be prevented by deactivating them in your browser settings. Please note that in this case not all functions of this online offering may be available.

With SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content—such as inquiries you send to us as the website operator—this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the change in the browser’s address line from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Server-Log-Files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us.

This information includes:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

These data cannot be assigned to specific individuals. This data will not be combined with other data sources. However, we reserve the right to review this data retrospectively if concrete indications of unlawful use become known to us.

Third-Party Services

This website may use Google Maps for embedding maps, Google Invisible reCAPTCHA for protection against bots and spam, and YouTube for embedding videos.

These services, provided by the American company Google LLC, use cookies, which may result in data being transferred to Google in the USA. However, we assume that no personal data tracking occurs solely through the use of our website.

Google has committed to ensuring appropriate data protection in accordance with the US-European and US-Swiss Privacy Shield frameworks.

For more information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy.

Every data subject has the right to request confirmation from the operator of this website as to whether personal data concerning them is being processed. If you would like to exercise this right, you can contact our data protection officer at any time.

Right to Information

Any person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to obtain, at any time and free of charge, information from the operator of this website about the personal data stored about them and to receive a copy of this information. Furthermore, information may be provided about:

  • The purposes of processing
  • The categories of personal data processed
  • The recipients to whom the personal data has been or will be disclosed
  • If possible, the planned duration of data storage or, if not possible, the criteria for determining this duration
  • The existence of a right to rectification or erasure of personal data or to restrict processing by the controller or a right to object to this processing
  • The existence of a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
  • If the personal data is not collected from the data subject: Any available information about the source of the data

Additionally, the data subject has the right to know whether personal data has been transferred to a third country or an international organization. If this is the case, the data subject has the right to obtain information about the appropriate safeguards related to the transfer.

If you would like to exercise your right to information, you can contact our data protection officer at any time.

Right to Rectification

Every person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to request the immediate correction of inaccurate personal data concerning them. Furthermore, the data subject has the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data, considering the purposes of processing, including by means of a supplementary statement.

To exercise this right, please contact our data protection officer at any time.

Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)

Every data subject has the right to request from the controller of this website the immediate deletion of personal data concerning them if one of the following reasons applies and to the extent that processing is not required:

  • The personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
  • The data subject withdraws their consent on which the processing was based, and there is no other legal basis for processing.
  • The data subject objects to the processing for reasons arising from their particular situation, and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing, or the data subject objects to processing for direct marketing and related profiling purposes.
  • The personal data was processed unlawfully.
  • The deletion of personal data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation under Union law or the law of the Member States to which the controller is subject.
  • The personal data was collected in relation to services offered by the information society directly to a child.

If one of the above reasons applies and you wish to request the deletion of personal data stored by the operator of this website, you can contact our data protection officer at any time. Our data protection officer will ensure that the deletion request is processed without delay.

Right to Restriction of Processing

Every data subject has the right to request the restriction of processing from the controller of this website if one of the following conditions is met:

  • The accuracy of the personal data is contested by the data subject for a period enabling the controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data.
  • The processing is unlawful, and the data subject opposes the deletion of the personal data and requests the restriction of its use instead.
  • The controller no longer needs the personal data for processing purposes, but the data subject needs it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • The data subject has objected to processing due to reasons arising from their particular situation, and it is not yet clear whether the legitimate reasons of the controller outweigh those of the data subject.

If you would like to request the restriction of personal data stored by the operator of this website, you can contact our data protection officer at any time. Our data protection officer will ensure that the processing is restricted accordingly.

Right to Data Portability

Every data subject has the right to receive the personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. They also have the right, provided the legal requirements are met, to have this data transmitted to another controller.

Furthermore, the data subject has the right to request that personal data be transferred directly from one controller to another, if technically feasible, provided that this does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.

To exercise your right to data portability, you can contact our data protection officer at any time.

Right to Object

Every person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from their particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning them.

The operator of this website will no longer process the personal data in the event of an objection unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or if the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

To exercise your right to object, you can contact our data protection officer directly.

Right to Withdraw Consent Under Data Protection Law

Every person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to withdraw consent given for processing personal data at any time.

If you wish to exercise your right to withdraw consent, you can contact our data protection officer at any time.

Objection to Promotional Emails

The use of contact data published in the context of the legal notice obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby expressly prohibited. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

The copyright and all other rights to the content, images, photos, or other files on this website belong exclusively to the operator of this website or the specifically named rights holders. Prior written consent from the copyright holders must be obtained for the reproduction of any files.

Anyone who commits a copyright infringement without the consent of the respective copyright holders may be liable to prosecution and, under certain circumstances, subject to claims for damages.

Google WebFonts

This website may use so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you visit a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

For more information about Google Web Fonts, please visit Google Web Fonts FAQ and refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.

audio and video conferencing services

We use audio and video conferencing services to communicate with our users and others. In particular, this allows us to conduct audio and video conferences, virtual meetings, and training sessions such as webinars.

We only use services that ensure an adequate level of data protection. In addition to this privacy policy, the terms and conditions of the services used, such as terms of use or privacy policies, also apply.

In particular, we use Zoom, a service provided by the American company Zoom Video Communications Inc. Zoom also grants users in Switzerland the rights under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more information on the type, scope, and purpose of data processing, please refer to Zoom’s privacy policies and the “Legal & Privacy” page.

Instagram

Our website includes features provided by the Instagram service. These features are offered by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate your visit to our website with your user account.

We would like to point out that, as the provider of this site, we do not receive any information about the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram. For more information, please refer to Instagram’s privacy policy: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

LinkedIn

We use the marketing services of the social network LinkedIn, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (“LinkedIn”), within our online offering.

These services use cookies, which are text files stored on your computer. This allows us to analyze your use of the website. For example, we can measure the success of our advertisements and show users products they have previously shown interest in.

For instance, information about the operating system, browser, previously visited website (referrer URL), visited webpages, clicked offers, as well as the date and time of your visit to our website is collected.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transferred to a LinkedIn server in the USA in a pseudonymized form and stored there. LinkedIn does not store the name or email address of the respective user. Instead, the data mentioned above is only assigned to the person for whom the cookie was generated. This does not apply if the user has allowed LinkedIn to process the data without pseudonymization or if the user has a LinkedIn account.

You can refuse the use of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, but please note that you may not be able to use all the features of this website. You can also object to the use of your data directly on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

We use LinkedIn Analytics to analyze the use of our website and improve it regularly. The collected statistics allow us to enhance our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. All LinkedIn companies have adopted the standard contractual clauses to ensure that data traffic to the USA and Singapore, which is necessary for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the services, is conducted legally. When we ask users for consent, the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. Otherwise, the legal basis for using LinkedIn Analytics is Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Google Workspace

As part of our legitimate interest in providing a technically flawless online offering and ensuring its economic efficiency, design, and optimization pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, we use Google Cloud Services (Google Workspace) provided by Google Cloud EMEA Ltd., 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, D02 R296, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Cloud and associated software services within the GDPR-compliant Google Workspace include the storage and management of data in the cloud, calendar functions, email software, document creation, spreadsheets and presentations, sharing documents with specific recipients, publishing forms or other content and information, as well as chats and participation in video and audio conferences.

All data that you provide, enter, or display within Google Cloud solutions (in particular, inventory data such as name and email, usage data such as browser used, visited websites, duration of stay, previously visited website, and your IP address, content data such as documents, files, contracts, audio and video communication and/or recording, chat history, shared screen content) is transmitted to and stored by Google. We use privacy-friendly settings as much as possible, and you can also take such precautions. For example, during communication, you can register with alias names or one-time email addresses or partially deactivate your audio and video transmission.

This may involve the transfer of your data to the USA. However, we have ensured that your data is only transferred to the USA based on a contract under the standard contractual clauses. According to the GDPR and the European Court of Justice (ECJ), this provides a legal basis for the transfer of data to the USA, particularly following the U.S. presidential executive order of October 7, 2022.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with this provider, under which the provider processes your data only on our behalf, within the scope of the GDPR, and according to our instructions.

Your data will remain stored as long as it is necessary for the purposes of your consent, contract fulfillment or processing, legal enforcement by us, or for our other legitimate interests, or if we are legally required to retain your data.

For more detailed information on how Google uses your data, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en and the additional security information on Google Cloud services at https://cloud.google.com/security/privacy/.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the data controller for this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the data processing associated with Google Analytics is performed by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

The collected statistics help us improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device analysis of visitor flows, which is carried out via a user ID. If you have a Google user account, you can deactivate the cross-device analysis of your usage in the account settings under “My Data” → “Personal Data.”

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp();” to ensure that IP addresses are collected anonymously. This means that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form so that they cannot be directly linked to a specific person. If the data collected about you can be associated with a person, this will be immediately excluded, and the personal data will be deleted without delay.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. For exceptional cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield: https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Deactivate Google Analytics.

Additionally, you can prevent the use of Google Analytics by clicking on this link: Deactivate Google Analytics. This will store an opt-out cookie on your device, which prevents the processing of personal data by Google Analytics. Please note that if you delete all cookies on your device, this opt-out cookie will also be deleted, meaning you will need to set the opt-out cookie again if you wish to continue preventing this type of data collection. The opt-out cookies must be set separately for each browser and device.

Google Ads

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you arrived at our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Ads will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on a Google advertisement. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification.

If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Ads customers.

The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers receive information about the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this—e.g., by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser to generally disable the automatic setting of cookies or by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com.”

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.
